Master of Business Administration Program
Monmouth University's MBA program provides a high level of graduate instruction for successful business managers and professionals. The program includes core and advanced courses that represent key business disciplines. Strong emphases are placed on international, ethical, and technological perspectives.
There are two degree programs within the MBA program and several tracks as follows:
- Master of Business Administration (30-48 credit hours)
- Master of Business Administration with a Concentration in Healthcare Management (33-51 credit hours)
In 2007, a 30-credit, fast-track MBA was implemented for students looking for a time-saving alternative to a traditional two-year MBA program. Applicants must have earned a baccalaureate degree from an AACSB-International accredited school and meet our other admission requirements. Some students may be required to take additional coursework before being admitted to the program.
The Accelerated MBA is a cohort-based program; this means that students take a predetermnied sequence of courses to earn the required 30 credit hours. Employing a combination of classroom and hybrid (online combined with classroom) formats, this program will allow you to earn your MBA in just one year by attending two to three evenings per week. You register for three classes in both the fall and spring semesters, and four classes over two 6-week summer sessions.
The mission of the MBA program is to serve well-qualified graduate students who are committed to the pursuit of more professional responsibilities, the enhancement of their competencies, and an improvement in their value to the organizations they serve. The graduate program combines management practice and theory in a contemporary managerial context. The curriculum underscores the complexity and diversity of managerial decisions in both the national and international economy.
The MBA student learns in small classes that promote close interaction with our business faculty members and they benefit from special contributions by visiting lecturers. In addition, Monmouth's business administration building, Bey Hall, provides business students with a contemporary learning environment.
Monmouth University's Leon Hess Business School has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business-International (AACSB), the premier accrediting organization for business schools worldwide since 1999. The quality of instruction and curriculum is on par with the other business programs accredited by the AACSB throughout the world.
