The undergraduate and graduate programs provide a blend of academic and career applicable techniques, while the minors program, such as screen studies, allows students to enhance their major with communication cross training. Students can gain recognition in this major for their academic excellence with the MU Lambda Pi Eta National Honor Society.

The experienced faculty members provide students with the skills and confidence they need for today's competitive job market. Some media classes are taught by working professionals who bring their expertise to the well-established curriculum, courses and special topics.
