Welcome to the Monmouth University Computer Science and Software Engineering Department Web site.
We offer a comprehensive undergraduate and graduate CS and SE curriculum that prepares students for careers in computing or software engineering. We also offer a minor degree program in Information Technology that is specifically designed to provide technical literacy to the non-technological major.
All our programs present unique opportunities for students to break into the dynamic fields of computing and software while still benefiting from a well-rounded Monmouth education.
Our BS in Computer Science focuses on the science of computing and programming and is a well-established program with graduates holding prestigious positions in companies that are household names.
Our BS in Software Engineering focuses on engineering of solutions to customer problems using software. It is unique in that it is one of only seventeen programs of its nature in the country to be accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
Our MS programs in Computer Science and Software Engineering have all been in place for more than 20 years. Our continuing graduate study programs offer opportunities to specialize in many areas including computer networks, databases, network security, telecommunications, information systems and management, embedded systems, and organizational management.
