Faculty Sponsor Information
Faculty sponsors are responsible for supervising the student's academic component of their co-op experience. The faculty sponsor should meet with the student prior to starting the work experience to complete the Ex Ed forms and develop learning objectives.
During the co-op work period, the sponsor should meet with the student periodically to ensure that the learning objectives are being accomplished.
The sponsor should make sure that the employer completes a student evaluation and that the student has evaluated the work site.
At the end of the semester the sponsor will submit the student's final grade for the co-op course.
