Join us as we celebrate the career and accomplishments of Brian Williams, Emmy & Peabody Award-winning anchor and managing editor for NBC Nightly News.
A VIP reception featuring complimentary beer, wine, and soft drinks and an array of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres will be held at 6:15 p.m. in the Varsity Club of the MAC, attended by some of the hottest names in broadcast news, including Anne Thompson and Dr. Nancy Snyderman NBC Nightly News; Brenda Blackmon of WWOR’s My9 News; and Brian Thompson of NBC’s News 4 New York. Guests will also be treated to a live broadcast of NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams on the arena’s jumbo screen.
The formal program begins at 7:30 p.m. with a journalists’ roundtable, featuring an entertaining exchange on the exciting world of TV journalism with newscasters and friends of Brian’s from the news industry.
The event will conclude with a presentation by Brian Williams, formerly of Middletown, NJ, and the awarding of the 2010 Monmouth Award for Communication Excellence (MACE).
